**WHY DO MY KNEES POP?**
Many of us wonder why our knees pop in the first place. This phenomenon can occur due to various reasons, including the buildup of gas within the joint, the movement of tendons or ligaments over bony structures, or even the development of small cartilage irregularities. While it's often not a cause for concern, persistent or painful popping may be a sign of an underlying issue.

**IS POPPING IN YOUR KNEES BAD?**
Well, not always. In many cases, it's harmless and a natural part of joint movement. However, if you're experiencing pain along with the popping, or if it's accompanied by other concerning symptoms, it's crucial to address it. Ignoring persistent knee popping can potentially lead to more significant problems down the road. That's where our exercises and techniques come in to help you alleviate discomfort and maintain healthy knees.

In this video, I'll guide you through a series of exercises and stretches designed to strengthen the muscles around your knees, improve joint stability, and reduce popping and cracking. So let's get started on your journey to smoother, quieter knee movement.

My knees have popped and cracked for decades, but usually painlessly. I was a bit concerned about being able to functionally do stretch 2, but then you showed stretch 3 as an alternative! I need to get one of those S&M tools. Hoping this will help strengthen and quiet everything going on in my left knee once and for all.

Thank you for this video! I am a massage therapist of 11 years and trained in level 1 orthopedic massage through Hendrickson Method. I also teach Zumba part time and have been practicing my routines a lot lately and often times without shoes on first thing in the morning (which I sometimes do just to quickly get more practice in before I start my day). Anyhow my right knee/leg started aching a lot this past week and yesterday a "clicking" sound started as I straightened my leg! Literally every time I would straighten my leg it would click. I found your video late last night and I did this video today and already the clicking is down significantly! Very happy about that. Thank you for your guidance and I could tell right away you knew what you were talking about.

I’ve been popping and cracking since high school. Growing up I was in a dance class and we did a lot of kicking.

Thank you so much, Dr. The wall squat is so safe it seems versus deep knee bends. I have heard some rice crispy crinkling on doing deep knee bends, but haven't with this wall squat today, which leads me to believe it's safer. I hope to join very soon to your membership program. My knees feel so much better after committing to doing this entire program today. Thanks, again.

I'm three years out from a second patella tendon rupture repair and my knee pops and clicks after I run. Most noticeable in the mornings when I descend stairs. I'll give this a go.

This was great! Thank you. I’ve been in dance and cheerleading since I could walk and now that I’m 30 my left knee randomly comes to remind me I’m not as in shape as I once was 😅

I tore my ACL and MCL a couple weeks ago and I'm doing prehab to be at my best possible for surgery. However, as the sweeling went down, my knee started to crack when I would bend it but only after I would tighten it straight. Is it normal? Some cracks are small and barely audible but some have been so loud that people in the street turned around...
