How Large Was this Rattlesnake on the Porch?

The homeowner said "I usually take care of rattlesnakes in my yard myself, but this one is just too big".

That taint nuthin, I saw a 32' Eastern Nickelback rattler in the Everglades once! It was eatin Jon Voight, true story. Chased me all the way back to my swamp buggy.

I saw a huge Western Diamond Back just as big as that one in Tumacacori Az just south of Tubac Az . It was stretched out right next to a cattle gaurd and I got a close look at it as I slowly drove by .

He was a big healthy snake. Different environments mean different sizes. I’m in Texas and I’ve seen larger, but, even by Texas standards that is a large snake.

That was a big guy! I have a really difficult time trying to perceive dimensions on a video, but he completely filled the bottom of the large collection bucket, which I’ve never seen before.

I know what you are saying about size deception. I relocate rattlesnakes here in southwestern Utah and the ones I have measured are typically smaller than what I guess.
