I have 16 bikes, i never have these issues, all stored inside. i keep them all detailed to perfection, after i wash them i hit with the leaf blower dry all water off.

wow.. finally a MTB channel that's not focusing on either $10k specialized super bikes, tuning 30 year old bikes or 'restoring' abandoned russian single speed bikes.

Never heard of cables actually stretching but I do see housing compress all the time especially on a new bike set up. Same with bike chains, they don't stretch, they wear and get elongated. Take care.

My RockShox J3 manual says not to invert the fork due to the shock oil getting into the wrong side of the piston, affecting the action of the fork. This would also count for hanging front wheel up as well.

Funny you should mention disinfecting the bike, and then pick up the helmet. Helmet interiors get nasty as well.
