ULTIMATE BIKE RACK SYSTEM. MORE BIKES. LESS SPACE

preview_player
Показать описание
The Ultimate Bike Rack System takes the best of the simple garage hook and makes bike storage better by putting those hooks on sliders. Which means more bikes in less space.

It also means this storage system makes it easy to pull out the bike I want because I can slide the others to the side.

Easy to store MORE of your bikes. Easy to access ALL of your bikes.

The materials to make the Ultimate Bike Rack System run about $238 , so it's definitely not the cheapest DIY rack system but for storing 8 bikes it's whole lot less than SteadyRack (A great system) which would run $650 to store 8 bikes and probably take up more room. The Ultimate Bike Rack System is sure to impress your friends. Especially if they're fun-hogging, dirt-bags like all my besties.

I love this. Ugh, i just dropped $400 on steady racks the other day. I'd love this option as it seems more flexible but in my garage, it's such a high ceiling I'd have to figure out a way to bring an overhanging shelf out with enough support to hold the bikes. Hmm...got me thinking though... What were those peg boards? Where were they from? I need me some of them to hang helmets!

This is why YouTube is so good. A cool guy with a good idea takes the time to craft a clear video describing what they did and sharing it with others. 🤘 Thanks man

I can't believe somebody else did this. I was raking the internet looking for good bike rack solutions when I came up with a rack made from barn door hardware that is almost exactly like this. The hooks rotate on mine but hang lower. Thank you for putting this on YouTube. I also think the world would benefit from this but I can't run a business or a YouTube channel. Thank you!

Just binge watched all the diy videos I could find… and then see this guy has already tried out those ideas and moved on to a better solution. Saves me the time spent & lost on trial & error. Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for sharing.

This is a great upgrade to already using hooks in the ceiling. This tightens up the lost space between bikes

BRILLIANT ! I love when someone takes a product designed for one use and makes it better for another purpose and THEN is kind enough to share. Well done. P.S. Why did YouTube take 2 years to suggest this video to me 😂

Thank you thank you! You inspired me to build something similar with stuff I had on hand. An old bed frame for the rails and roller-skate trucks for the trolleys. It opened up so much space in my garage!

oh man, the more I see your vids, the more impressed I am with your skills and imagination. One of the very best things I like/love about your vids are that you don't inject non sense into your vids to make it longer. They are all to the point and direct. Thanks for the great ideas and keep up the great work. Keep safe.

What a great concept and demonstration. I was able to order the rails and dual roller sets at Lowe’s for $40 each. So for about $145, I have a great rack for four bikes.

I bought the bike hooks at Lowe’s also ($5), mated the hook to the roller with a 12 mm nut, 2 for $1.25 at Lowes as well. It worked perfect, threaded on securely. The 12 mm nut fit into the recessed slot of the rollers so lock in place at one of eight positions. You can adjust the position of the hook by pushing the hook up and rotating until the nut drops back into slot.

The moment where you are flipping through your bikes to decide which one to choose like its a deck of cards had me sold

Brilliant. I'm sure you've seen that a company has taken this idea and who knows whether you or they came up with it first. Regardless, your DIY approach is amazing. I stumbled on this first and have watched bike storage videos for years. This is the first one I've seen that I really felt got it right. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the inspiration, I built my own version of this rack this week and I am surprised how well 6 bikes nestle together. Don't tell the missus but I think I can now fit one or two more bikes :)

This is an awesome solution. Well done. I think I'll investigate if it's practical for the garage. Your next video should definitely be on how you built and secured the storage shelf that you attached the box rail to.

i love this, this was one of my ideas
i also like combining a hook and a rope
where u can put he hook on the front wheel and pull the rope, pulling up the hook (and the frontwheel) to another hook or whatever, where i locks in and stays "up"

First, thank you for sharing this rack, and for the generosity to do so for free. I now have a version of this rack in a previously unused portion of my garage and it looks great. I showed your video to a friend that will be installing one in another garage, so your kindness continues to circle the country/globe. Keep up the good content and thank you again for the brilliant solution to bike storage (my wife probably thanks you too, for getting my bikes out of the house).

Thank you! This video inspired me to make similar storage in my garage. I used old bed rails and roller skate trucks/wheels for the trolleys. It was a game-changer for my limited space. Thank you for the great idea!

Thanks for this video. I built this last spring and it’s fantastic. 6 bikes in about 7’ of space and SO much cheaper. I did get the threaded hooks from Park Tools. Love it. So easy to get to any bike.

Thanks for the free tip. That was gold. I wanna say I really enjoy your channel. It is a pleasure to see another guy my age living without regard to the stereotype of being in their 40s/50s. Why live like you are in your 40s/50s when you feel 25 and have the heart and passion to go with it. Keep it up forever. You are an inspiration. Definitely got a sub from me
