Thanks for posting these videos! I taught 1st grade in Chicago for three years, but I'm still SO nervous about my interview tomorrow! The combination of teaching into a computer to an adult is throwing me for a loop!

Tina, you are absolutely right about doing something unexpected... it's what they'll remember first. As in... "Oh, yeah! I remember that! He was doin' SUMPthin' with "X, " 'n' then..." it helps them recall the main "meat, " as it were, of the lesson in a fun, game-like, entertainment-type way. And if they're having fun, they don't realize/mind that they're... GASP... learning!

Hi Tina! I was so nervous when I recorded my demo. I'm afraid I might not have passed. If that is the case can I apply again, record again or have the opportunity for a live interview? If so do I have a waiting period? I watched all your videos and many others but my nerves may have gotten the best of me. I have taught Kindergarten for twelve years, have a Masters degree and I am ESL certified. Thanks for any information you might offer.

Great video!! So, if I do the recorded video instead of the live interview, I'm trying to figure out how to do that.  Am I just pretending that a child is listening to the lesson?  I know you prefer the live. :)
