Here are the reasons why I was turned down copied directly from their email. One of them is missing in your video. Just FYI for others: 1. Tool: We would like to suggest you to use two or more types of supplementary tools (Such as whiteboard, handmade flashcards or puppets 2. Rapport: Make sure to establish good rapport in the beginning of class. Introduce yourself, ask for the student's name and ask a rapport building question.

Thanks Michael, you give the most thorough advice. Other videos said you just record the demo - don't worry about props, etc, and you'll pass. Well, you still need props, but you can get creative without spending a bunch of money. I think people don't want to spend a bunch of money on a classroom setting unless they know they're gonna get hired. At the same time, you should have the mindset you will get hired and thus you will need a proper setting with props and tools.

I did my demo and received excellent reviews on my teaching/pronunciation/TPR etc. They said I needed to work on lighting, technology and an educational background. They're letting me redo the quick demo. I was disappointed because I had to buy a light, mic, and background materials to redo it. I thought the quick demo was just go see if I had energy, and the ability to teach VIP Kids style. Also, recording the demo on the phone is not the easiest or best way! Why can't we do it from our laptop? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
