I did my interview. I was all set up to do my interview from my laptop. I had made a teacher name plate, two sack paper puppets, alphabet flashcards, a world map, the whole nine yards. But, then I could not get the app except on my phone. Can you please tell me how to do the interview on my laptop? Also, I prepared props for one lesson and then got a different lesson than I had prepared my props for. Is there a way to see the lesson plans before I film my lesson? Help! I really want to work for VipKids!

Hi Teacher Erin. Your videos have been so helpful as I think about applying and doing a demo video.
Question: I saw your demo where you had a folder of all sorts of laminated pictures for themes like food, school etc. Does VIPKID have those with their materials that I would print and laminate? Or do I just go out and get some pictures?
Can I see what my upcoming lessons would be about so I can make sure I have pictures ready?
Excited about this but a bit nervous too.

Erin...I love your videos...and yours are the most clear and vivid of all that I have seen. Can you tell me what equipment you use?Are you an Apple person or do you favor Android? And what software do you use to make your videos? I'm not hired yet...still preparing props and trying memorize what to do for each slide. It's daunting to me. I taught Jr. High and High School students and am retired. I'm pretty sure I can do this, but I'm really nervous about the interview Demo. Your Interview Tips videos really help. I may need to upgrade my equipment however.

Erin I have learned from your videos, I am doing a taped demo and have primarily taught 10-12 year ok students . I have a doctorate and have only worked with 7 year olds as well as junior, high school and college students who do not have a command of English. I am not trained in ESL and would appreciate your advice.

I wish I watched this video before I did my VIPKid Smart Interview!!! I just had a white wall behind me, I wore a black shirt, no reward system, no puppet, etc. I did draw two props: a smiley face and a picture of playing cards (prop for "game").


I ended earning a $7.8/Class base pay. Can I try to redo my interview and do you think it would help raise my base pay if I can?
