Spicy Aka Miso Crispy Fried Chicken Karaage Sandwich

This recipe replaces the classic chicken katsu with fried chicken karaage, and features Bravado Spice's Aka Miso Ghost Reaper Hot Sauces as seen on First We Feast's Hot Ones featuring Sean Evans.

Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Bravado Spice Aka Miso Ghost Reaper Hot Sauce
1 lb Boneless chicken thighs
1 tsp Ground ginger
1 tsp Minced garlic
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1/4 c Corn Starch
6-8 c Vegetable Oil
6-8 Slices milk bread
- Japanese mustard
- Thinly sliced cabbage
- Mayonnaise
Steps:
1. Lay the chicken between two pieces of plastic wrap or wax paper on a cutting board and gently flatten with the bottom of a pan or a meat mallet.
2. Remove the wrapping and place in a bowl with the ginger, garlic, soy sauce, Bravado Spice AkaMiso Ghost Reaper Hot Sauce, and corn starch. Toss until well coated.
3. Heat the oil to 350°F and fry the chicken for 8-9 minutes until the coating is a light reddish brown. Remove from oil and drain.
4. Spread a thin layer of mustard on one slice of the bread, and another thin layer of may on another. Add a layer of sliced cabbage and then then the fried chicken. Slice in half and enjoy!
