There are cheaper and they are decent I run an rpa9 off my kenwood 1090vr (yes it’s old) then run a hdmi pass through for my tv and the rpa9 is a Rockville unit I am currently running 2 subs off it this summer I’ll be bridging it though to run a single 18 In the corner 800 watts rms is plenty at 4 ohms for a decent amount of bass

Does adding an amp change the sound signature of an AVR??? I have an Arcam AVR31 with Class G amplification, and if I were to add an Emotiva BASX A3 with A/B amplification to the LCR then would my fronts/ center sound like an Emotiva and not an Arcam?

I am thinking about this. Lot of questions tbh. But one that springs to mind atm is, those pre outs look like phone cables. Usually to get hd audio/atmos etc it goes through an hdmi cable. Surely if you are using pre outs that are phone/rca's you won't get those premium audio formats anymore?

What about quality? My avr uses 100w a channel. . . But my 70w per channel NAD is 30 less. But sounds much better.

Which should i use?? 1.
2. The avr pre outs only send out 1.1-1.4v per channel.

Would I benefit from hooking up external amps to my marantz cinema 30 and am running all 11 channels and they are the older model svs ultra bookshelf speakers center and surrounds plus 4 height elevation svs speakers and i listen at -10 to -3 db volume

Just don’t buy power hungry speakers. That’s why I stick with Klipsch speakers and a decent AVR.
