The snap on the upper pocket is designed to hold the flap on the lower pocket open for quick access to shotgun shells.

barbour beaufort has tartan lining and no tweed inside....
not sure what that is.

They haven’t moved the factory outside the UK but some styles are produced elsewhere.

The large pocket at the back is known as a “game pocket” in which you can put the birds you have shot. Sometimes known as a “poachers pocket” for obvious reasons!

Nice, just perfect for wet and bloody cold England . I was in London around Christmas 20 years ago, nearly freeze my ears off. Went to Brighton for a day trip, it was raining and blowing gale storm, couldn't even go anywhere but to find a pub and have a few beers LOL

What about sizing? If I wear 38 in regular beufort, should I go for S or M?

I just sold my Bedale jacket last month because I outgrew it (guess I'm still growing strong at 30 😂).
You are triggering me to get another. maybe I'll opt for a quilt one this time.
