IF IT SWITCHES BACK: You need to keep switching it 30-50 times before it will stick at 48. Trust me. It works. Do it 👌

Yoooo! I been looking everywhere for this fix. Not even focusrite technical support knew how to fix this. What an easy fix. For anyone that can't get the sample rate to stay on what you chose, make sure your DAW is not open when you try to change it or you will be going nuts trying to figure that out as well all over again, and changing it through the focusrite control app worked for the midi settings as well, it automatically changed them for me. Thank you for the video!

For MACS: Its actually Audition remap! Channel Mapping & Audio Hardware, make sure your focusrite setup is the same for left and right side, i.e USB Input 1 for both! not usb 1 for left and 2 for right - this will eliminate

This was very helpful, I see in a comment someone said theres changed back to 44.1, , im ok with mine, but if mine's ever do change back, i'm sending it back to Amazon because none of us should be having any issues when we purchase new geer, it dont make any since, it should work of the top.. but thank you very much for this info.

No idea why this has worked for many up til now...could be the Mac updates making it harder to change. Unfortunately my Mac has been down for the count for a few months now so I can’t research like I want to. Hopefully once I’m back up and running I can re-visit this issue! Keeping hope alive!! My DAW is GarageBand and my Focusrite has been giving problems recently: hissing sound coming on whenever I increase the gain knob and disallowing me to record vocals properly. As GarageBand's sample rate is fixed at 44, I guess this hiss cannot be solved in the manner described in this video. I have ordered a Volt 176 and I hope that I will have better quality vocals with it.
