For anyone having a problem with this (only audio and no video or vice versa), this was my fix:
- Set the profile to MP4 like the video suggested.
- EDIT the profile by clicking on the button to the right on the profile.
- On the Encapsulation tab, set it to "MPEG-PS" (note: this setting worked for me. If it didn't work for you try another setting with audio and video checkmarked below)
- On the Audio and Video tab, check "keep original audio/video track"

Once you're done with that, finish the same way the video does, by putting the ".mp4" extension at the end of the file. Good luck!

For those who dont have audio follow those steps:

In the Audio Change Codec Tab, Change CODEC to "MPEG Audio (AAC)", and also change "Sample Rate" to "48000 Hz".

I get good audio and glitches (lots and lots of glitches) after converting. In fact, mostly full grey screens. How do I fix that?
And is it necessary to add ".mp4" when naming the file? I thought that was already selected from the get go in vlc and while naming the file I noticed that mp4 was the file type.

I cannot get audio at all. I have tried to change the settings but its a no go. Ive even tried with a couple different .mkv files I have and its the same for all of them.
