Request Failed Due to a Fatal Device Hardware Error. My data storage drive broke. Guess what Maker?

My storage external hard drive that I use to store my personal pictures and videos just failed. When I mean failed.. I can't access it at all cold turkey

It's a seagate barracuda.

I have the worst luck with seagate hard drives. It's serious YMMV but anyways.. this hard drive error sucks. I usually backup my backups.. but since the pandemic hit.. I've just forgotten to make backups since 2020.
Needless to say.. most of my data from 2020 is now hosed. Sigh.

I was looking at easus's website, so I'll try going through some simple hard drive troubleshooting. But I'm not confident at all.

Always make backups of your backups. I was especially going to make more backups since google photo's is limiting their storage now come june 2021.

I guessed Western Digital Elements because mine just died like this today. I can see it when I go to Device Manager Disk Drives, but it won't appear as my D drive like it used to. I think the mechanical device inside is stuck, but how do you open this? I had planned to copy all my data onto a new external (Samsung) hard drive this week. Wasn't fast enough. Furious. This one is almost 3 years old.

This problem states that the HDD sucks full time..little buck to SSD would have save time and all my valuable data 😭

I've never had issues like this with anything but Seagates.

i just pulled a one terrobyte hdd out a dvr and it wont let me accsess it to reformat it wont let me intalize it due to fatal hardware error but i checked it through cmd and its fine so yea:(
