In this video, I’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of adjusting your dual-pivot caliper brakes for optimal performance.
We'll cover the three key adjustments needed: brake pad position, caliper alignment, and cable tension.
You’ll learn how to properly position the brake pads for maximum braking power, center the caliper to ensure even contact with the rim, and fine-tune the cable tension for smooth, responsive braking. I’ll also share some tips on the tools you’ll need and how to check your brake components for wear.

Don’t forget to check out my other tutorials for additional help with wheel truing, brake pad replacement, and more.

Thanks for watching, and I’d love to hear in the comments how your brake adjustment went! Be sure to like, subscribe, and share this video to help support the channel. See you in the next one!

Excellent video 👍😎. The details of how the job is done, are superb. I have done my own brakes before, but your video showed what I was missing. Thanks for all your help.

I personally dont like to use the balance acrew to center the calipers, reason being that when you tamper with that screw the first time, you'll undo the locktite that usually comes with it from factory, and from then on, every time you come back from a ride the calipers will be off center because the balace screw loosened up.
TLDR. Don't mess with the balance screw, center the whole caliper instead.
