3 lessons from 900 days of coding startups

After being fired in November 2021 (software engineer), I built websites every day for 900 days.

I struggled and wanted to give up multiple times, but luck found me somehow.

After building 23 tiny internet businesses (micro SaaS, AI tools, trackers) I'm financially independent ($121K/month). And I still code daily 😁 Here are my 3 productivity hacks.

00:00 - How I got lucky
00:36 - Why 99% fail
01:25 - 1/ Ship small
02:07 - 2/ Compete
02:48 - 3/ Quit early
03:25 - Just start today

How do you make the UI / UX designs? Do you outsource it to a designer or do it on your own? What are the UX principles that really worked for you? Can you make a video on those topics

Ppl keep telling this is the same thing because we still love you and give that honest feedback. Wish to see it better gradually.

Please create a live video about creating a successful startup/SaaS with just using Shipfast. It would be helpful for many of us.

Hi Marc,
What would you recommend to a beginner to learn first when it comes to programming? Which languages should someone learn and in which order?

Hi Marc, I have been coding lately although I don't know any basics of code.

But I have built 3 functional web app for my use case all with the help of AI tools.

I just give the ai tool the command and it does the job for me and once the code is generated I understand what it does for the project.

It's been really fun and I hope I would be able to share a similar journey as of you.

Much appreciated for the content that you bring along.

Love the video Marc. It's all these bite size thoughts or snippets you talk about that make it really fun to watch!

Plus also great to see people's journeys put in numbers. Like how many month did someone stay at $0, how long until first customer, when the first $1000 MRR. Actually we should have a public chart where eveyrone who wants can put their data in and the different paths are visualized ;)

Thanks for content. Please can you explain in some of next video where or how are you getting legal info for users? And how are you dealing with refounding or complains from users?

Dang, I have a baby on the way and every single day is so hard to just show up after my 9-5.
This is exactly what I was needing to hear

Great journey Marc! Very honest and inspirational. Quick question- For the business formation, are you registering your business in the US or are you a sole proprietor?

I respect you more for never giving up than for finally making it...
But I must ask: Can you create a tutorial guiding people through the actual coding of a micro SASS? I've just learned coding, but when attempting to create a product, I didn't know where to start. How did you know what to code for your startups? Are there startups I can start that would take me hours, not days?
I mean, I tried to watch through your Lives, but they weren't in a tutorial form... Just you coding. So it didn't help me out...

Bro, I found your channel just a couple of days ago and I'm in love with your content. As I'm studying to become a software engineer your channel came at the right time, all your videos give me such a boost to keep studying for 7 hours every single day. Thank you.

Also, if you come to Vietnam, Hanoi. Please, give me a shout, I would love to pay you a coffee and just chat away.
Peace and god bless.
