Caught me 3pounder today in my local pond using KVDee's twich twich pause ..twich blows my mind how it worked thanks a million ....not a huge catch but here in el paso tx. I just bought my first jerk bait in perch color. I haven't tried it out much because Northern Pa. the water is cold and bites aren't happening on my lake yet but I have been practicing and after watching this I noticed that I was doing it wrong. I was reeling it like a jig slow and jerking it. Now I noticed that you don't reel it much. I'm glad I watch this video. Back to the lake for more practice.

Jerkbaits work well for any species. Walleye, bass, pike, lake trout...whatever. You don’t have to do any fancy retrieves either. A straight retrieve works. But you can mix it up a bit and add pops and jerks as you please...pauses work too
