Labour won a landslide because of FPTP, not because of their vote share. Labour’s 33.7% of the votes was the lowest share in history for a winning party. They increased their vote by just 1.6% on 2019, and that is due to the SNP collapse in Scotland. Labour need to recognise they didn’t win this election in a normal way, and haven’t really convinced the public to back them. They just were in the right place at the right time due to Reform splitting the Tory vote.

My view of it all having grown up in Bulgaria, Eastern Europe and now living in the UK for the past 20 yrs. I've seen this back in E.Europe. When things go bad, people want a "change", whatever it may be. In the West people are rightfully unhappy with the status quo hences "the changes" - Starmer won in the UK, I think similarly will happen in US with Trump winning & Le Pen in France. Will anything improve from what I've seen in Eastern Europe when things go bad? - 100% NO.
