Nick Ferrari is joined by LBC's Political Editor Natasha Clark and Daily Mirror Associate Editor Kevin Maguire to discuss where Keir Starmer stands heading into a likely election year. With the chance of a Conservative victory seemingly 'hanging from a tightrope', the three consider whether the Labour leader is starting to enjoy himself, while debating whether he should be doing more...

Apart from the pigs at the trough, why would anyone want more of the same? It’s time for some serious levelling up, not just a token sound bite.

I'd vote for ANY party that keeps the Tories out of power and destroying our great country. Corruption, nepotism, idiocy, and Brexit mean I just want rid of them FOREVER. If it takes voting reform, so be it, but we can't have idiots deliberately undermining our economy and prosperity.

My family will vote for any party that returns to the EU

I hear this a lot.
"Why Labour?"

Flip it.
"Why Conservative? "

The last decade has been so painful.

Ferrari would secretly love a Labour government. Seeing as he lives to complain about everything. For the UK to continue to exist into the next decade, a Starmer premiership isn't "likely", it is essential. Another five years of the Tories would be the death knell of the UK.

Only thing that will prevent Starmer from being PM in 2024 is if the Tories drag out this disaster of a government until January 2025.
Sooner they're gone the better however.

It's all very well for the Tory on the panel to suggest that the biggest question will be what can Starmer do for us? But Labour can easily counter that by asking what have Sunak/Truss/Johnson actually DONE for you?

Sitting around talking about the material consequences of my life like football pundits debating match strategy is profoundly depressing.

Rishi is a junior back bencher in the right place at the right time, blows my mind that anyone thought it'd turn out any different.

Labour are looking like the most sensible option for the near future.
Happy New Year.

The UK will be fully in a disaster spiral if Keir Starmer doesnt become PM

What a very sad nation we have become, most British are sick to death of any major party what ever they say on here. Needs fresh blood, needs comman sense, and needs to DO what the majority of ordinary people want, not what they want!! Happy new Year.

The problem with this country is people never learn.
Tories Tories Tories, then Labour Labour Labour and does anything ever improve.
These politicians have no understanding of society or communities.
It's time this country voted for another party.

I don't care what Keir Starmer stands for. There are enough decent people in Labour, and enough corrupt, bigoted, gaslighting, oppressive and callous people in the Conservative Party, to make it very clear who I have to vote for. At this stage, Labour could be led by the most dull, soulless, uninspiring person, and I would still vote for them.

Starmer just build homes and infrastructure and you get 3 terms as pm

I’d vote for anyone but the Tory’s and I’ve voted for this party for 40+ years and for that I’m truly sorry

Kevin Maguire AGAIN making it sound like Immigration is a massive issue - it really isn't in the grand scheme of things but I appreciate his paymasters expect him to say that

Labour left of centre 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Labour hasn't been on the left since before 1997. Blair shoved it to the centre, and starmer is happily pushing further right.
