Imagine being the fucking announcer and saying "nah she lives in the pit now" after we find out she broke her fucking back.

She’s not the only person to have injured themselves in this same “foam” pit.
Another contested dislocated there knee and broke their ankle.
This is negligent design, even if they signed a waiver, a foam pit that you’re supposed to fall into shouldn’t be so injurious

I completely empathize with this woman. I broke my back in four places in 2014, motorcycle crash, and it's easily the most intense pain I've ever experienced. Nothing really compares; you can see the adreneline kick in for her real fast immediately afterwards. I hope she heals up soon!

When I saw the headline I literally thought she got knocked off by her opponent and got her injury that way. Imagine having fun, winning and leaving with a life altering injury because you got a little too excited celebrating. I FEEL for this woman. She literally trusted that foam pit with her life and it let her down in the worst way possible. 😫

I broke my back before. It was horrific. I hope she sues. Hearing how she has to get surgery to have a bar surgically put into her spine makes me feel like this could possibly disabled her for life. WTF is wrong with Twitch Staff? Looks like there is almost no padding under those foam blocks... Sometimes freak accidents happen... this, however, looks like gross negligence.

So allegedly someone said there were only pads under the pit in certain places, if you missed them you hit concrete, and they were 2-2.5 feet deep. So most likely she jumped and landed or her back/tailbone right onto concrete. Yikes

Concrete Floor. Pit clearly wasn't thick enough with foam padding for those stunts. Someone messed up by trying cut corners & be cheap

Imagine somebody decided to dive head 1st. How they thought that depth was fine is crazy. Whenever you see foam pits typically they are crazy deep otherwise the foam just doesn't do anything.

Painful just to watch. I really wouldn’t wish this on anyone. Horrible accident from a short lapse in judgement and a false sense of security. I hope the organizers of the event are held responsible.
