I threw myself into caring for my plants a year ago when I lost my baby and the plants helped through my grief journey by giving me something to care for. I had one of these and it flourished then I moved it and it literally died on me😩it was one of my favorite plants

I have one of those plants too, she was my mother's and so far she (the plant) has double in size, she's around 5ft tall, but she's growing so sloooowly. My mother died in 2003 and the plant came to me, and has just.slowly, slowly grown. It was variegated for years then it lost all that foliage and only plain leaves grew for a few years. Now it is finally variegated again. I have zero idea what she needs, but I try to only water her when she needs it and I feed her only during the warmer months here in the UK. Can you advise me what conditions she needs? She is super special to me and I want her to be happy. I call her The Triffid, after a walking alien plant in a corny film I saw once years ago. My baby absolutely hates being inside and drops leaves like crazy throughout the winter. Once I can put it back outside in the spring, it is so happy!
