i love how they did that. like having a chosen one didnt make sense bc they were evil creatures all around the world and the slayer couldnt be everywhere at once. since it was potential slayers all around the world, giving them their full power, at least it would be multiple around the world

I get choked up every time. This scene alone just showed the conclusion and progression of the main cast’s character arcs. Even right down to Faith nodding in approval with Buffy after so many years of conflict. Such an inspiring monologue. What a perfect ending.

I’m still so glad they gave Willow a redemption. Like after the rollercoaster they put her through of becoming the most powerful witch on the planet at the cost of succumbing to addicting evil magic, it was such a nice send off to see her bathed in radiant light and finally doing the most powerful spell in the entire series—powered by the forces of light, love, hope, truth, and the potential for goodness that exists in everyone. And that tear as she finally shows control over her own inner demons and achieves this act of light magic was just the perfect way to end her character’s journey.

For me—the series always ends with this episode. I tried to give season 8 (the comic) a try, but some things got a little too wild for me. Like Buffy and Angel banging and giving birth to a new dimension or whatever? I was like okay 👌 that escalated quickly. 😭😵

I hated this ending when it first aired and never cared for any of the later seasons but now at the stage I'm at these are the clips that are really making sense and clear I'm mad I didn't see it til now. Just absolutely fucking brilliant. Acting. Writing. All of it. Moves me to tears. I will maybe watch this every day now so I don't forget Buffy gave ME her power too ❤️
