💯💯
Also the same people who argue against an imputed righteousness don’t have a theological problem with our sins being imputed to Christ, which is the same “legal fiction” in reverse

I love your passion for the Gospel, brother. Glory to the Lord forever, amen!

Great point. Also, those who reject alien righteousness also have no problem admitting that our good works are gifts of God and that they only become condignly meritorious because of God's grace.

When I was young I was taught that everyone is a child of god, thank you so much I didn't realize how wrong I was!

Thank you for sharing the 1662 book of common prayer, it's been awesome to pray it everyday.

In order to become a son in the living room (adoption), we need to become sons in the court room (forensic).

Would you say this applies to the eucharist as well? When we receive Christ in the Eucharist, we receive body, blood, soul and divinity?

No. My status as a child of God is not alien to me. I really am a child of God. I really am righteous before God because He changed me by joining me to His death in baptism and raised me with Him to heavenly places. When I fall into sin and repent and confess it, I am restored to this place of royalty in His family.

This is a novel teaching. Where, and by whom, was this taught before, Luther?

Are you aware that "forensic justification" is a concept totally foreign to the Church Fathers?

What is this lord of the rings preacher ?

The difference is that sonship is ontological, whereas a forensic kind of justification (as you're advocating here) is not rooted in an ontological change.
