Faux DIY brick german schmear- How can you paint a whole brick wall for under $25! (painted brick!)

I have been wanting to makeover Ezra's room for quite a while and I finally got to it! I started by painting a faux german schmear brick accent wall in his room- I'm going for a boy rustic/ all things vintage boy theme. He has a small room, so an accent wall makes it feel taller and slightly bigger. I'm in love with this technique/ process because it's very budget friendly at only $25 total cost with supplies left over to do more! I have done this process in 2 places of my home and I intend to add it in other spots of my home as it's easy and cheap way to get a cottage/farmhouse/ rustic style vibe.
