Ok so as a foreigner living in Istanbul Türkiye

1_YES brushing scam happens do NOT accept their waxing offer and just say no and go away
2_Just use Uber man or Istanbul public transportation... I mean...Istanbul transportation system aka metros, Buses, Metrobus and ships basically go almost EVERYWHERE in Istanbul and uber is unscammable
3_It's best if you learn turkish numbers and the "ne kadar" sentence meaning how much also use translate apps and a general tip;Taksim is actually NOT a good place for buyout, Restaurants there are more pricy than other restaurant places and shopping stores too in general
4_No stranger truly cares about u lol, specially in Taksim which is like the scam center of istanbul.

Also the metro card scam, a guy comes over to you if they see you struggling on the istanbulkart machine. Will offer to help. Will keep your card for recharge and once you swipe your credit card for payment, he removes youe metro card 2 seconds later and says all done. He will then keep his card and money recharges to that. The stupid machines take like 10 seconds to recharge your card so make sure your card is there long enough. Tjey do it in the turkish language so that you dont understand whats going on.
