Hey Cam! you can use Noctua fans they are pretty silent and high performance! there are black ones but you can spray paint the fans to match your asthetics!

I run open frame setups for years now, they are awesome because you have access to everything and cleaning is literally just blowing over it with some compressed air, due to the open nature, the pc can run on very low rpm as there is no case unnecessarily trapping hot air, so it is easier to cool components with colder air, my gaming pc only needs the fans turned on when I play modern high demand games, so it is completely silent when working or browsing, if you are comfortable having a giant noctua air cooler on your pc running it completely fanless on like 85 celsius ingame, you can do that as well

The roadblock I had hit was the I/O shield dimensions, but you have made me realise I don't need to cut out an area exactly the same shape, but I can just go over it!
