I gotta be honest… I’ve never messed with computer stuff in my life. I want to learn but I’m already 7 minutes in and more confused than you can possibly imagine…

The original version of this may have taught me how to build a PC but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been looking forward to this updated version.

This kind of content for us occasional PC builders is so useful. Thanks for posting this!

Hello! I am just getting to building my first PC, and I've noted most of building PC guides don't really include how to look for the particular parts, and only how to put them together. This was extremely helpful, I feel I learned a lot from your video, and I am excited to be learning even more from your channel! Let's do it!

I've built PCs for 25 years, but I enjoyed your walkthrough so much I watched it the whole way through

Your Newegg guide helped me build my first PC back in 2015! For that, I will forever be grateful to you Paul

Even though I feel very comfortable with building a computer, I just can't help but watch more building tutorials/videos to help keep my brain sharp when people around me ask for my thoughts on builds

Hey Paul, I should have written this a long time ago but I owe you a huge debt of gratitude. Learning about DIY PC building and building my first PC in 2020 got me through a very difficult time in my life (it wasn't just C****D). These in-depth tutorials for beginners are so important for making the hobby accessible to newcomers and it's great to see an updated version.

I went from “What the hell is a motherboard, ” to “Why is the stuff green.”

Using the internet to watch this? Nah, I have a friend who saves the videos for me onto zip-disks and mails them to me. (I'd love to watch your videos in something higher than 240p but they haven't release larger capacity zip-disks in a while for some reason...)

It’s awesome to see how Paul’s “How-to build a PC” series has evolved over time. It’s wild to think that just a decade ago builds used to have HDDs with a tiny SSD for the OS.

Paul your 2019 build has been amazing and got me through the lockdown so Glas this series is going strong. That said those 4090 and 7900xt prices got me crying because if how stupid expensive they are

Thx for doing these videos.
Back in 2020, I built the “$1000 PC everyone should build” you posted, based on the B450 Tomahawk Max/Ryzen 5 3600X/EVGA NVIDIA 2060. It’s still the best computer I ever had (and still use).
I’m looking forward to the next build (like this one) in the future.

How do I assign the irqs? I can't find the jumpers or dip switches. Also, is AMD a good value or should I stick with Cyrix?
