In the Philippines you can get 1 sack for around 500 pesos. It’s enough to feed 5 families. Just get them from the fishermen and not the local fish market to ensure they’re fresh.

Our maintenance guy at work lives on the water. He starts his day at like 3:00 am. One morning he was going by the fish market where he lives on his way to work, he bought 4 dozen oysters that were fresh from the boats and gave them away to us a couple hours later. The were as fresh as they could possibly be. That was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had.
