4 Bath Tea Recipes You Need To Try

Показать описание
Tub tea is a great way to infuse bath water with beneficial ingredients, herbs, flowers, & fruit without making a mess. All you need to make tub tea is dried herbs, flowers, or fruit…
To simplify recipes, I used 1/4 cup of "soda" (baking soda & citric acid), 1/4 cup salts, & 1/8 cup for EVERYTHING ELSE!
RELAXING-Milk Rose Tea: Pink Himalayan salt, "soda", 5 milliliters fragrance oil, kaolin clay, whole milk powder, rose petals/flowers, anise stars, & berries. INVIGORATING-Mint Green Tea: Dead sea salt flakes, green tea powder, vitamin c, bentonite clay, dried mint & green tea leaves, menthol crystals (1/8 teaspoon crushed), citrus peels/slices. CLEANSING: Dead Sea Tea: Dead sea salt, coarse, "soda", 1 tablespoon natrasorb, 5 milliliters fragrance oil, dead sea mud, Rhassoul clay, dried eucalyptus/lemongrass/seaweed, citrus peels/slices. SOOTHING: Oatmeal, Milk, Honey: Dead sea salt, fine, "soda", 5 milliliters fragrance, 1 teaspoon titanium dioxide & sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (SLSA), milk, honey, colloidal/rolled oats, kaolin clay, chamomile flowers, apple slices, star anise, bath pearls. WET INGREDIENTS: Add as you like, however, over a teaspoon should be added to a filler (baking soda/corn starch) & dried fully to keep tea clump/mold free! Or use Natrasorb or starch to absorb fragrance oils. MENTHOL CRYSTALS: 6 months ago I was working late in my studio & saw the newly-arrived menthol crystals. I was tired, so instead of researching them, I ran my bath & poured in some crystals & bath salts. I got in & my first clue should’ve been my eyes burning, but, I just closed them. Then, I felt a tingling all over... I actually thought to myself "girl you did it! You just created "tingling bath salts"... But then the tingling became more intense & I started getting cold. I turned hot water on full blast; the water was scolding hot, yet my skin kept getting colder. I started to really panic. 5 minutes later my skin got so cold that it was burning (if that makes sense). I could barely move (all I wanted to do was stay huddled together, like in the fetal position, to keep warm). I splashed hot clean water on me & mustered everything to get out of the tub. The cold air away from the warmth of the hot water was almost too much bare. My teeth were chattering so hard I couldn’t open my mouth. I wrapped a towel around my robe + another thick blanket then got in bed & bundled up. I contemplated if I had hypothermia (dramatic, but true). 45 later my skin stopped burning & then I was just FREEZING cold for the next hour. I drifted off to sleep & was pleasantly surprised when I woke up & my skin was still there (& totally fine). POINT IS: Don’t use a lot & ALWAYS research new ingredients!!! Happy tub tea-making!!!
