I just met my new one today and she was texting on her phone the entire appointment and there were long stretches of silence while I had to wait and sit there waiting for her to ask me one question at a time, and she started saying my bad my husbands texting me, never have I ever seen that before 💀

It can't be said enough but listen to your intuition. If it's telling you to leave the therapist you should do it. You shouldn't be paying money to a therapist to explain why you don't like them. Just leave at the first sign of blatant disrespect. My problem started before I even saw my therapist. I emailed her and specifically asked her what she charged. She didn't answer that but told me she took my insurance. Dummy me made an appointment. She was the worst therapist ever. She suggested crazy trauma stuff that never happened and not once but twice suggested I was experiencing amnesia when I was having issues with people and told me to search through my trash for signs of amnesia. This was almost 4 years ago and she was abusive towards me. She even openly mocked me. Im so angry with myself that I continued to see her. It ended in disaster and I don't think she felt any shame at all. She was one of the most toxic people I have came across. She destroyed my trust in therapists. There is no way in hell I'll make another appointment so I can now explain how therapy traumatized me.

I’ve had 6 therapists and they’re all terrible. Honestly booze has been a better therapist than all of them combined
