Hard does not equal bad.
Easy does not equal best.
Simple does not equal effortless.

Hard work is not something to be avoided or disdained.

The easy route isn’t always the best.

Simple living isn’t necessarily easy or effortless; in fact, it’s usually the opposite.

Here’s what I know: Almost anything worth having requires hard work.

So many today seem to have forgotten this concept, always looking for the easy way, often scorning hard work.

Yet I’ve found this to be true in every area I hold most dear: marriage, parenting, friendships, homeschooling, gardening, homesteading, walking with God, living. Hard work leads to reward. What we sow, we’ll reap.

Don’t buy in to the pursuit of easy. Don’t teach your kids to look for the easy path.

Roll up your sleeves and embrace the hard. Celebrate jobs well done, enjoy hard won rewards. Learn to value the strengths forged in the fire of challenge.

No one ever said this would be easy. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.

Lean in, look for the beauty, embrace the hard. 💕
