Finally, a decent looking multi-use WiFi5 access point from TP-Link. Great throughput and 4 modes of setup with a captive portal and POE. This is a useful addition to your home or small business all under £40!

The TP Link TL-WA 1201 is a decent AP. The only shortcoming is if you plan to use the multi SSID mode in order to support VLAN's. The TP-LINK firmware does not handle this very well. The solution for multi SSID mode is to replace the stock firmware with OpenWRT. Problem solved.

For my ac1200 wa1201 I have to enter the password on the bottom of the access point. I can't create my password. And when I do enter the password I am able to get through to set it up for client mode but at the end of the installation or whatever, it instantly goes to no internet and then a 404 not found error
