I always liked Sam, but just preferred Kara with Lee. Maybe since Sam is introduced in season 2 it kinda feels like an intrusion to them. The question is always what are Kara and Lee? Soulmates? Family? I guess. The bond is incredible. Apollo and Artemis are twins of Zeus don't forget so it's kinda incestuous and she was engaged to Lee's brother so they are almost siblings. I like how Kara and Sam are apparently totally in love after 24 hours. Huh?

This storyline/plot point was one of the most difficult to stomach in the entire series. A rescue mission back to Caprica using something like 20 Raptors-- the bulk of the Raptor fleet. Non replaceable military assets. And for what? to rescue 100 or so people? suppose it turned out to be more. They would not know many more new people joined Sam and his group while Starbuck was gone. So just leave them behind again? how many could they fit in to those raptors?

Then nothing is said about why just Caprica and no other colony. You would think people in the fleet, especially the government upon hearing that a rescue mission was going back would want their colony included. People in the fleet would want a chance to see if any of their families survived. But no, we're just going to Caprica because, well, it's Starbuck's boyfriend. Uh huh.

I wouldn't have minded so much except for Moore's constant prattling on the pod casts about how everything had to be kept REAL. For all sort's of reasons, this was not real... or believable.
