The suicide by Dee was one of the saddest and most powerful moment of the series. Her character sadly did not get that much screentime, but she certainly stood out when she was seen. Most of us long for moments of belonging and love...

Edward James Olmos was a superb Bill Adama. I can't imagine anyone playing that part with the intensity and integrity that he did.

Not easy for a man like Bill Adama to swallow his pride like that, but he did for the greater good. Wish we had leaders like that in the real world.

When my Aunt was in the navy she had a saying "If you want an answer to a question ask an Officer. If you want the correct answer to your question ask an NCO." And she was an officer.

I thought it brilliant that Adama decided to talk to a young Petty Officer about the situation instead of other officers. A young enlisted troop would give him a better feel of what his command was thinking. Other officers would probably tell him what he wanted to hear. The slight touch of Dee on his arm really showed how deeply the men and women under his command loved him. Boomer's human side loved him just as much but she could not override her Cylon programming. She never forgave herself for she she did and it even had an affect on her resurrected versions.

Some of the best damn programming. Even today, not much compares.

How good was Dee? I was gutted at her ending.

Like a father who's children are angry at him and each other.
"I'm getting the fleet back together, this ends now."
They're so much more than just a fleet. Their a family, by circumstance maybe, but a family none the less.

In some weird void between universes I would *love* to see what would happen when William Adama meets Jean-Luc Picard. The wisdom and insight from a meeting of those two would fill volumes.

That look Adama gave Dee when he said that children are separated from their parents. The man also missed Lee. Powerful scene.

It's one these scenes that define the quality of the series. It's good at creating conflicts and drama, with surprising developments and turns, yes. But it manages to resolve them with calibrated and well-thought scenes that truly create an emotional impact thanks to the quality of the writing, the talent of the actors, the direction, and the amazing soundtrack by Bear McCreary. This series is a classic. It's particularly interesting in times like ours, marked by hardships, because it is cathartic and shows how amazing characters, some being at the start apparently "normal" people, can react when living extraordinary situations, where the whole future of humanity is in their hands.

I actually fist pumped when he went back to the CIC, I was so involved with the series, I remember it vividly when bingewatching the series in 2008. It was a near religious experience.

The best outcome of the Kobol arc was how it solidified Adamas and Roslins relationship. From a constant clash of opposing ideals to a mutual cooperation based on respect, admiration and subsequently, love. ^^

This is what makes Adama such a fantastic leader. He's always being pushed to the edge of doing something stupid. But he always looks down before he leaps. ^_^

Kudos to the actors man for this. That stare down he gave was hella intimidating. And the choke she's does as she's speaking was excellent

Wander my friends, wander with me

Like the mist on the green mountain, moving eternally
Despite our weariness
We'll follow the road
Over hill and valleys
To the end of the journey
