In the SAS or the Navy seals, for your initiation, they kidnap you, put you in stress positions, play obscenely loud rock music into your ears whilst you're in a metal box and then make you rotoscope for hours on end.

You can also use a tracker for the mask itself, no? But it works only on footage, not static layers like solids or adjustment (since they don't have anything to track on). I would guess it might work with the truck wheels... I've used it successfully when masking car plates to blur them.

Why you don't put the green also under the wheels ?

I feel like rotobrush would do the job here pretty quickly since its a high contrast area..or mocha, but pen tool seem a bit tedious for me. If it was a mission critical shot then yes, pen tool it is, but for this fun little shot?

Are u able to track the The highlighted items (different color pixels) so u won't have to do it each Frame I think there should be a plug-in for that right ?

Hi, 1 question! If a camera has a maximum of 77mbps bitrate for internal recording yet has Clean HDMI out (Em5 Mk2), will attaching an external recorder and recording at higher bitrate be better if there is a lot of movement in the footage?

I do not understand the meaning of Clean HDMI and apparently it has no signal compression, so I would like to know if the internal bitrate will affect the video quality if an external recorder is used! Thanks in advance!

Can't you do the edging automatically with Sobel filtering instead of doing it manually ?

Would it not have been better to do it once in photoshop and import the wheel and then animate it?

Hi Kaitlyn /Whoever is reading this, i'm watching the tutorial and wondering if you guys ever use the Roto Brush Tool ? It does make Rotoscoping a lot more easier and faster but it's less precise according to VFX artists, i don't know if everyone feels this way about it, i personally use it a lot when rotoscoping and so far i've found it pretty useful .

I see others below agree with me. I can't believe in 2016 that rotoscoping isn't easier. The only time I tried it, it took over an hour to rotoscope 9 seconds of footage. Never again. Still diggin' on the Yang, though.

Would the rotobrush tool save more time, I'm new in the rotobrush world.

Why don't you track frame by frame and edit it then? Saves a LOT of time.

You should upload in 1440p if your Premiere is in 1440p. Or else it's hard to read any of the words in the program.

Seems a little unnecessary to do it this way. You could have drawn the entire wheel into the mask, then placed forward keys every 10 frames and simply rotated the mask (since this is an object that doesn't change shape, manually moving every single anchor point is a bit unnecessary) accordingly, then all you have to do is very minor rotation tweaks. Could probably do it in 1/5th the time it would take to reposition all those anchor points if not less.

I feel like it would of been easier to mask around the tire then track that mask to the tire since it's moving horizontally, same for the string.
