I absolutely loved this movie and the acting. It speaks so much of what I endured as a gay teen in the closet in the '80's.

Beautiful movie. I bought the book immediately after watching it. Outstanding cast and production. I believe the LGBTQ community has been hungry--and deserves--more "Feel Good" films. Watching RWRB and this film left a sweet and joyful sense of hope for Romance films with happy endings.

Hmmm, now I am even more eager to watch the film version. I am half way through the book - for the SECOND time :) - and I would not call it a feel good book. It's devastatingly beautiful and poignant but very sad. Also very well written. Totally compelling - thus the second read. :) And it's rather concise - about 148 pages.
So maybe the film changed some aspects to give it a happy ending?? No spoilers here please! As I will not mention anything specific from the book.
Does anyone know if Prime USA will eventually stream it? Not available currently :( Thanks!

I loved the female guide in this movie. She was hilarious. 1🤗
The story is about homophobia at its worst. (A homophobe closet case).
But also about true love till the end. ❤

yeah i am tired of gay films with tragic endings or living with HIv etc...its like were are cursed...uplifting movies should be applauded
