Top Gear and Grand Tour stopped being about cars a long time ago. It was about a friendship and dynamic between 3 guys, that everyone wishes they had. While travelling and driving awesome cars ofc.
That's what made it work, because it was basically every man's dream.

They will never get an OBE or anything like that because of the amount of turmoil they generate wherever they go but for my money they all deserve a knighthood for helming one of the most watched shows in history and for bringing so much laughter to so many people all over the world.

I was a petrol head/grease monkey/raised in the garage person prior to really getting into this show. Sadly my health doesn’t allow me the strength to pull apart a car the way I used to without assistance. But this show, these men, especially Hammond, taught me to be brave, to have a semblance of life and to dream harder. I relate so much to Hammond having a serious brain injury myself, and every week watching them and then binging both series until the end, really inspired the spark in me to continue somehow. They just did it. They did it for me and will always be who I look to when I feel the disabilities rearing their ugly heads. I love them forever. And I’m so grateful to Richard for how he addresses sensitive topics as a man in this society. I wish him well, I really do.

Nice to hear him praise the other two. Too many of the media come up with crap about them hating each other but I remember the poster on the London buses when Hammond had his near fatal crash and the Top Gear roadshow was cancelled. It said 'Get well soon Hamster'

Its honestly tore a hole in my heart that they've finished with grand tour and top gear for good, never really had a good family or really a family but waking up to top gear and watching it every day since I could walk made my life so much better, will forever miss the legends of legends

I’m glad he gave his true honest opinion with little bs involved. They really are great friends who managed to find incredible success together and that’s a rarity. Despite minor controversies here and there these men truly have felt like a gift to humanity and it’ll be really heartbreaking when they’re gone. 😢
