While looking for planets around other stars TESS has watched its first gamma ray burst go off incredibly far away from us. In a recently published paper lead by Krista Lynne Smith we explore what TESS can tell us about these mysterious explosions.

I've always been fascinated by GRBs! Such incredibly energetic events, sometimes at the extremes of our ability to detect are just so interesting. I can't wait for us to learn more about what causes them, the mechanism and physics involved, etc. Awesome video!

94 bilion light_ years? i thought that the radius of the universe was 46 bilion .What am i missing?
