You know, something that was really impressive to me was that back when I had my ASUS Maximus XI Hero board with my 9700k, it actually worked with the stock XP acpi driver! Sadly, I don't think I ever tried 2000 but now I am curious to see if acpi would also work with 2000 on that board as all the desktop boards that I have had that worked with XP's stock ACPI also worked with 2000

Windows 2000 works best with Socket 478 or older and for the keyboard not working you need to enable an option with the name of "USB keyboard support" or something like that in the bios. Had the same problem but with windows xp and enabling it fixed it

remember to change sata type to ata or ide in bios
disable acpi if u need to
