my issue has always been turning while skting, my boards rocker profile just makes it super easy to start spinning like a top when i go to initiate turns. any tips?

Could you guys give us tips on how to buckle your straps in while standing? (I can do this on flat surface) but it's tough on the slopes when I dig in the snow with my snowboard and I tend to move around too much. Thanks for the vids, keep it up!

For me the foot on the front is much easier. I think it's a difference between North America and Europe, because here in Europe the foot in the front is the usual way. When I for the first time saw someone doing it with his foot at the backside, I thought it was a beginner. When I wanted to help him by saying that the foot in the front was easier, it turned out to be an American :)
With the foot at the back you step with your foot sideways and stand with your upper body sideways and that looks very inconvenient to me. Try riding a kick scooter with your foot on the back. You can't do that.

step 3. Get on your skateboard.
