Summary:
In this video, I compare three smart locks with Apple Home Key: the Schlage Encode Plus, Yale Assure 2 Plus, and Level Lock+. After over six months of hands-on testing in my own home, I reveal how each lock performs in key areas like Home Key reliability, design, and extra features.

The Schlage Encode Plus leads the pack with near-flawless Home Key functionality and integrated keypad passcode management directly in the Apple Home app. Meanwhile, the Yale Assure 2 Plus offers a responsive keypad, DoorSense technology, and a keyhole-free design, though its battery life falls short. For design enthusiasts, the Level Lock+ blends seamlessly with traditional doors but struggles with reliability and lacks an integrated keypad.

By the end, I explain which lock I’m keeping and why Home Key is a game-changing feature for iPhone and Apple Watch users.

I’ve watched twice now. Still undecided. I have the Yale Nest Lock right now and it’s very reliable. Albeit no home key and I need the Starling hub to use the nest locks in Apple Home. I wish the Yale was thread!
