This was a timely message. I was wracking my heart and brain about a decision I'm supposed to make. It's comforting to know that I can take some time to make the decision over days and not have to force myself to decide one day. God is patient, and persevering, and loving. I feel at peace knowing this.

I'm beginning to see the mindset of make a decision now right now or something bad will happen is influenced by TV and movie plots. I'm happy to hear true discernment isn't so dramatic.

This is so enlightening! I often wonder if I make my decisions on my own or if God is telling me this is what he wants for me. I ask him to help me make my decisions according to his will and wait on his timing.

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent, what I have learned is the Lord will affirm that you hear His Voice correctly, and yes, a trusted friend who can recognize the Word of the Lord really helps. If I may add, and not to detract from your excellent message here which is true. The real will of God for your life is that you do hear the Word of God because the Word of God is the Life He has given you through and in His Beloved Son, Jesus. And that you acknowledge His Word in the believing and trusting, as you say that it is good and good for you, the truth is the Word of God to you and the fulfillment thereof, is your Life that is of God.
