Drugs have ruined my life. I have chronic depression, crippling social anxiety, and my family looks down upon me as if i am the most disgraceful human to ever walk the planet. When I was 15, I had great plans when I grew up, getting married, have childrens, live in a house designed by myself, have the ideal job, etc, but as the years went by, despite my efforts to make that happen, I realized that an invisible force was guiding me, whether I liked it, or not,  and no matter how hard I was trying to make that happen, the path was already in front of me all along. Things did not turn out the way I wanted, but like an invisible hand that guides me, I somehow, find myself in the right place everytime.God knows what I need, and whats best for me, way before I even ask him, and when the time is right, just like the bush, I will thank him for cutting me down, for loving me enough to hurt me.I am doing exactly what he wanted from me, from the very beginning, no questions asked. What can I ask more, from the one that is giving me the world, every heartbeat, every tear, every thought, all that I experience, this is God.I live through him,

My Bishop in my teens was Hugh B. Brown's son and i was fortunate enough to hear Elder Brown tell this story himself. Years later, i had been away from the church for many years and had stumbled many times... but i remembered this story and i asked my brother if he find me a copy of this talk. He did & sent it to me. i have been back in the church for over 25 years... but this story will always be a special one for me.

This is a very difficult concept to grasp, accepting the will of the Lord. Mind you, not reluctantly. In recent prayers, I have been asking the Lord to help me learn to accept His will. It was always difficult, but it has given me comfort - something I am now realizing as I type this up. I thank the Lord for this Church and for the Truth restored, and for a pair of missionaries meeting my mother decades ago. Golly, this is lovely

This is exactly what I needed to hear. Brought tears to my eyes… I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that God has a higher plan for each of us that we may not understand right now… but if we do what He asks of us, no matter how difficult the task… we will be so blessed.
