This event reminds me of when Wimberley, TX flooded in 2015. The river got so high they couldn’t even measure the peak. When I got there, the following day, I immediately was fighting back tears because of all of the destruction everywhere. There was debris in every direction: Houses were only piles of wood with occasional furniture among the piles. There was even debris in the electrical lines because the water was that high. Water is so important and yet so incredibly destructive and powerful at the same time.

As far as i can tell this is the only Weather Channel video focusing on arrival, the intense flooding, and aftermath of Helene in North Carolina.

The weather channel seems to have completely stopped covering the disaster relief?? I wonder why???

I live in Asheville and it’s a lot worst then I anticipated. I was recently at the intersection of Swannanoa River Rd and South Tunnel Rd to see the aftermath in person and flying my drone in the air.

You said 26 1 water crest and rgen 21.6 water crest. Wgich one is correct. I am curious as to how high the water rose. 5 feet is a big difference. 🤔🤔

Yeah I am watching the Weather Channel on my FEMA hotel room TV. ASHEVILLE IS NOT OKAY. Please stay away tourists, try again in the spring. People are still missing and pockets of the county smell like death.

I really wish you guys and other news stations would quit showing the piles of debris because with so many people still missing, there might be human remains inside the piles. Please, just stop!
