I watched my dad for 20 years, collect guns, ammo, food...etc 20 years. everytime he felt sad, or dissapointed with how his life turned out, he would go buy another gun, attachments, ammo...Didn't save a dime. Always parnoid. He pushed his whole family away including me. He disowned me after he thought I took a couple of his guns. We found them after he passed in the attic where he had hid them and then forgot. He guns in the walls, guns under every piece of furniture. Couldn't keep track. He died of alzhiemers. I took care of him the last 3 years of his life. Spoon fed him his fav foods. No one visited him. Not even his own realitives. He only had one friend left, and that guy never visited him either. In the end. House was sold, guns were divided up, food was thrown away. All I left is memories of a good man, who got lost. When I was younger 1-10 he was a different man. But in the end he didn't deal with his real issues. He was always planning for the future end of the world, but never stopped to be present, with his family, his son, his thoughts. He just always fantasied about a world where he would be needed, important, prepared. But it cost him everything. Its a fine line to tow. Be careful.

Started preparing in 2018. Moved out of an apartment to a 4 room house. Put in a huge garden, gotten chickens, stockpiled beef, pork, and chicken. Stockpiled ammo and a fee more weapons. Our small town has a plan to surround and defend it if things turned ugly.

To be honest, it's all fun.

How every home in Israel is not REQUIRED to have weapons blows my mind …especially when most of them Have served in the idf

So far, every “prep” I’ve completed has more immediate benefits then I realized.
*Rain water - amazingly better water quality
*Livestock - amazingly better quality meat (chicken, pork and beef)
*Gardening + canning - amazingly better quality vegetables
*solar power - obvious benefits
*saw mill - building my own cabin(s)

I am not an Israeli or Jewish but I was infuriated to hear that they had disarmed most of their citizens when they live in shouting distance of a whole lot of people that want to kill them. I have not heard the justification for that.

I was just talking to my extended family tonight about a lot of the stuff going on in the world right now, and I was surprised how little they were actually aware of. When I mentioned that people need to get prepared for what could possibly happen from all of this craziness, I received odd stares and even some open hostility from some of them. I guess I won't talk to them about that kind of thing again, but I will continue to be vigilant and prepare.

No matter how prepared you are, there will always be something you are not prepared for.

Great content! As an active LEO, I have developed a routine of situational awareness as I leave my house for work. I put my lunch box on the floor of my garage. I pull my patrol car out of the garage, park it in the driveway and pop the rear hatch door. I get out of my patrol car and walk around the passenger side so I can visually check the south gate to my backyard. I grab my lunch box and toss it in the back of my patrol car. As I pull out of my driveway, I double check that my garage door has shut all the way. As I pull in front of my house, I spotlight my POV that's parked in the driveway (making sure there's no damage, etc) and I spotlight the front of my house look for bad guys and also to make sure the north gate is secure. Seems excessive to some, but to me it's become common place. Stay frosty.

Southern Israel, October 7th, 2023 proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that firearm ownership is a MUST in today's world! The gun control debate is over.

I think the "stigma" is less than it was before Covid. When the lock downs and supply chain issues happened, suddenly the preppers didn't seem so crazy. I do think it's important to keep your preps to yourself, ie: gray man for your own securiy.

I think it's cool when other people prep. So exciting to see like minded people and not to feel so alone

Great ideas Brother SemperFi!
A suggestion or two for the community:
1) Install two fishbowl mirrors in the upper corners of your garage
2) Small single solar panel bank to power wired cameras
3) Get two or more blue barrels from country store and store water or even fill one with fuel and stabil
4) Add a power cable to furnace switch capable of connecting small generator

Having no weapons was the pinnacle of fuck ups that day. That’s number one…

Israel has strict gun laws, but now they opened to all X combatants. IDF operator here, thank you Mike for your support and truth.

It is so crazy that most of the people had no weapons. One of my best friends, who is Swiss, told me in Switzerland where most men have to do military service and then go for re-up every year, they just keep their service rifle and some sealed ammo at home. How many lives would that have saved if Israel had done that?

You don't need to be a millionaire to survive when shtf. You need the skill. And that's priceless.

This podcast should be heard all around the World. I come from the Czech Republic in central Europe and we as one of the few have very good weapon laws and are allowed to carry and have rifles like AR15 semi-auto of course. There are about 300K weapon holders in the country of 10M population. Still, people are oblivion to these situations and threats, people think we ar crazy and sometimes called war junkies and many more. Its about preparedness as you explained in this podcast. I learned a lot again, my eyes are opened again, I was oblivion for some time again but now I am up, aware and changing mindset. Thank you for your great awareness work Mike!!

I can imagine the ridicule that Noah and his family endured during the years that he stockpiled materials to build the ark, while building the ark, and stockpiling the supplies for the long term stay in the ark. All over a situation that they didn't believe could happen. Great video and God bless.

Mike, we have been reaching our kid’s situational awareness for past 15 years; at school, around neighborhood, in public places, it doesn’t matter, awareness should be 2nd nature

Ive mentioned to people at my job about how I'm prepared and I always get "well I know where I'm going when shit goes down" and in my head I'm thinking nope, I have enough people to protect at my house, you should start preparing yourself.
