Ukrainian Family Who Escaped Russia's War Share Their Emotional Story | Lorraine

More than 162,000 Ukrainians have come to Britain since the Russian invasion exactly one year ago today. One of those was Natalia Povazhniuk - an English teacher who left her home in Kyiv last May, along with her two children Maksym and Kateryna, leaving behind her husband and parents in the country’s capital. Natalia was just one of hundreds of Ukrainian families helped by volunteers such as Natalie Dyson, who has helped hundreds of Ukrainians find sponsor families. Today Natalie, Natalia and her two children share their story.
