CS:GO vs CS:S Graphic Comparison

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive VS Counter-Strike: Source


Please note that this video doesnt represent a perfect comparison as the CS GO footage is taken from the trailer and the CSS Footage from the game.

For me CS:GO shows that the Source Engine still has some Power.
Ofcourse its no Battlefield 3 but i think it looks alot nicer and more detailed than CS:S and ill definitively try out this game.

Oh c'mon guys! This is the FIRST preview! It will be released in 2012, maybe they will improve with time. They managed to make masterpieces like Portal 2 and Left 4 Dead 2! I know it's once again the Source Engine, but if you loved Counter-Strike: Source, why not to try to be faithful with this new one? :)

Ok, I can run all the Orange Box games at low res with about medium settings, I can also run MW2 and Fallout 3 (this is on an HP G70 laptop, nothing special). Am I right in saying that Global Offensive is using a "prettier" version of the Source engine? and if so, given that I can run other Source games relatively easily, will my pc be able to handle Global Offensive if the graphics and res are turned down?

Not going to say I like it or dislike until I see the finished product.. Just one question though why would they decide to make a console version? Does valve understand counter strike series is the #1 fps on PC?

lol @ all the kids complaining about the textures/models. It's in pre-beta and scheduled for release in 2012. That gives them at least 4 months[If it were to be released in January, unlikely] to improve DEFAULT skins.

Valve has also been known to support a lot of SDK which would enable to community to create AMAZING items. Look at all the amazing skins that have came out for all of the games, not to mention maps.
