There's a phenomenon in which people enjoy things less and less the better they get at them. It's likely to do with normalising the feeling of success while also being more negatively impacted by the feeling of failure. You get better, and you're harsher on yourself; you lose the ability to enjoy whatever you're doing for what it is.

This feeling seems universal and connected to all types of games. This is why I usually no longer look up tutorials and beginners guides to games. The flaws in your strategy and thinking is what makes the game fun. When the nowhere near perfect strategies still get you a win is when ur really enjoying the game

A good representation of life in general. Idk bout you guys but I just get more and more jaded. The good things never last… you find them and it’s amazing and you want it all the time but you get used to it, and it doesn’t give you that same feeling anymore, and not only are you losing the excitement of whatever it is, but also you’re sad it has to be a memory now, and it’s going to happen again… and again… forever… bc the more jaded you get the more you want to find the next thing that makes you happy, just to do it all again. Sorry… I guess the sentiment and the music got me a little fucked up… 😥
