Pairing a headset with both a smartphone and your Rider 500/550

This video shows how to pair a compatible headset with both your new TomTom Rider and your smartphone at the same time. If your headset has two Bluetooth™ channels then you can receive calls, message notifications, spoken GPS instructions and traffic updates for your Rider.

Since the last Update (juny 2024) I can't connect my phone to the the Rider 550, I keeps trying to reconnect but fail every time. How it's possible that a working Bluetooth connection stop working from a update? Please Tom Tom, take notice and check your updates. We pay a lot of money for your products

i try many times (over 10) and finally connected to freedconn tmaxs and pocophone, i think it is very important tmaxs to be ABOVE the rider in Bluetooth settings, THE problem is ican NOT lower the Rider 550/500 volume, it's out LOUD, any one can help? thanks

Does anyone have any idea if the TomTom Go 50 is capable of connecting to a headset. I have connected the Go to my phone, but cannot get the Go to recognise my Sena SMH10R headset. My mates TomTom could connect but it was a different model to mine. I am beginning to think it is maybe not supported on the Go 50.
Any info would be appreciated

Don't ask me details on how I got it connected, but I did it. It took me many tries, but I think this is the process. First to connect your phone to the Rider 550, create a user account on the Mydrive website and then get the Mydrive app. Log into the app to get the phone and Rider 550 connected. Then pair the headset to the phone. Then pair the headset to the Rider 550 using the Multiple Device mode on the Sena SMH10. ( To put the Sena in Multiple Device Mode, hold down the Jog button for 5 seconds, release, then press Phone button within 2 seconds of releasing the Jog button.) Again this may or may not be the process. I have gotten lost through the whole setup and it surprised the crap out of me when it worked. I had to complete restart my phone and the Rider 550 several times. I would like to wipe everything out and start over to be clear, but I'm too afraid of screwing it up. Sorry, but I hope this helps.

I have a Freecom4+, a TT Rider 400 and a iPhone 5S
At first the sequence of pairing showed in the video failed here at the end where my headset supposed to be connecting with my 400. It said completed succesfully but on my TT I got the message that it could not find my headset. An error has occured, try again later blablabla.
After doing a BT reset on all 3 devices ... important ... putting my Freecom4+ back to factory settings .... all paired fine and instantly now.
So .... it works great but you have to start with a clean sheet on all devices ;)

i did it with my Rider 550 PE, samsung s8 and nolan n-com B5L headset. When i press the phone icon on the Rider, google assistant opens and waits for my command. the problem is that it does not receive any voice imput from my headset, so i can't make any phone call...Everything should be set up properly, when someone call me I can answer pushing the green icon on the rider, and i can hear and talk through the headset....Any advice? I already tried removing the app e pairing my devices times...Help :(

Oude Tomtom rider bracht telefoon verbinding via die tomtom tot stand zonder problemen. Deze nieuwe oplossing die tomtom gekozen heeft werkt niet met alle helm systemen. Mijn helm kan geen direct contact met de telefoon maken omdat deze niet volledig het protocol wat de telefoon wenst ondersteunt. Waarom tomtom een goed werkende optie overboord gooit is me een raadsel. Waarom niet als extra optie de nieuwe methode aanbieden?

every time I turn around it's another issue with tt. first I got locked out of my My drive account for a week. Now my 550 decided to disconnect from my headset for no reason and when I try to connect it just keeps on trying and never connects. Some prick from tom tom is on a Island some where drinking my money and laughing his ass off. Im about ready to throw it away.

Utter bollox, very disappointed my 550 just does not work, Tomtom web site is terrible and video's tutorials are a masterclass in style over substance.
