I am certain that you can do realism. I also used to, but found you don't usually get paid for the time it takes. Besides surreal to impressionist to abstract is more interesting. Especially when showing movement

Is it just me or oil painting runs counter to all other art forms? I'm used to build up, go from light to dark.. I decided to try oil painting a couple of months ago and feel like such a failure suddenly 😅 is it just me or oil painting is not for everyone? I'm about to give up 🤦🏼‍♀️
