JBL Xtreme 3 vs. Charge 5 | Is Bigger Better?

Is the bigger JBL Xtreme 3 better than the Charge 5? Let’s try them out together today. Let’s see how two of my favorite Bluetooth speakers are similar and different. I’ll also share my thoughts on which one to get at the end.

Xtreme 3 has way more deeper base and sounds much immersive. The xtreme 3 would be a great investment if withing the budget

I feel that we can hear more instruments on the Xtreme 3. When you changed to the Charge 5, it felt like we couldn't hear all the instruments.

I have 2 jbl flip 6 and listen to them in stereo mode, but now I need more bass and have decided to buy a new speaker and use it in partyboost beside my 2 flip 6 for outdoor use. What do you suggest ? Buying charge 5 or xtreme 3 ? Since I heard that xtreme 3 is only 50W rms instead of 100W when it has not plugged, I was a little disappointed about it!
Another question, Is the loudness and bass of jbl xtereme 3 alone more than two jbl flip 6 in partyboost for outdoor use?

I have 2 extreme 3 and 1 charge 5. I like the mix of sound. More tweeter with the 5 adds to the overall sound.

i hope the 3.5mm jack won’t be removed in these modern speakers unlike companies did in smartphones. I use the jbl go 2 for my portable cassette player.

I would love to see 2 JBL charge 5's paired in stereo vs JBL extreme 3, that would be great, the extreme 3 is very close to running pair of charge 5's, but if you want the very best value setup pair of extreme 3's are the way to go.

The only 2 differences I noted were, deeper bass and more open sound from extreme 3 but charge 5 still sounds good

I had charge 3 for a while but an upgrade was needed So Just scored an Xtreme 3 for 179 €
Charge 5 was 120€
I was like is it worth it or should i go with charge 5 but with the loudness and the audio jack which extreme has i think Xtreme is better

Alman have the charger 5 great speaker, and flip. Now I up graded to extreme3. Just waiting for it to come. Thanks

Thing that puts me off the Charge 5 is no carrier strap, thing that puts off the Xtreme 3 is less battery life

The Charge 5 now has an equalizer through the JBL app. Now you can turn that bass up even more! The higher bass level is definitely noticeable. The added bass/equalizer option could make the two sound equal.

Please those the charge 5 has an aux output, like can I connect my tv and get the sound out???

Holy fricken bananas I just bought the xtreme 3 and when you put it in low frequency mode it is just unreal loud with thundering bass 😲 and for anyone who doesn't know how to turn on the low frequency mode just hold down the minus and the Bluetooth button at the same time for 10 seconds and it will all light up
